I'll talk about the "talk with the president" and answer questions along the way.

I disagree with criticizing personality: Point taken. Granted. It is just good manners. But for me, you know, people criticize each other's personality, the only thing that is different is how vocal the person is on criticizing each other. No exceptions. I mean, I say outright to a person that I think he's stupid. That person thinks that I'm stupid. Everybody does it. So why hide what we think of each other? those feelings will pent up if you don't release it.

Anyway, let's get on with the talk with the president.

Anyway, the president is really like Haruhi. you know, not that batshit insane, but you can't tell what's going on his head.

Anyway, I'll try to keep it short. So I'll try to explain things in bullet points.

1. The president admits there is something wrong the way Neocomics was handled. Which is true, when projects and promotions for Neocomics were set aside to push the gay magazine first, then you know the priority of Neocomics is like the foam in the bottom of a wine barrel.
2. The new comics will be handled with much more priority. This is good since now the company learned from the failure of Neocomics. And since Neocomics was the first venture of the company in comics, so now, the new comics will be backed fully by the management.

Anyway, so now what about the comics?
1. The comics will be split into 2 monthly books. one will be anime/manga oriented drawing style, one will be western/superhero oriented comics.
2. The comics will try to be distributed or licensed to be distributed internationaly. the biggest risk the company will take so far.
3. the comics will be black and white. so the production time is faster and easier for the artist. not much proofing is involved.
4. if the comics took off, the company has much more plans. first is character merchandising like figurines and sorts, and the other is to have animation or film based on the stories in the comics.
so, imagine that if the comics is really successful, you can finally have your own story to have an anime or film or movie around it.
5. the compensation will be higher than 5000. cant say the exact amount yet, since the president doesn't approve it yet, but its around 8000~9000 range per issue. so its kinda good for a freelance job since its higher compared to a minimum salary minus those deductions. of course, if the comic is successful and has been successful internationally too, the compensation will be higher.

Anyway, of course that this wonderful opportunity doesn't come with some gambling. anyway, to those who want to work on this comic, the president has 0 confidence for comics right now because of the Neocomics failure, but he will fund the new comics if you can break down the "barrier" he set up
1. The artist has to produce sample pages of his story. probably around 4 pages. the sample pages will be passed around the whole company and you know have a vote if the story and art is good. I think this one is easy because a lot of people there will support you. I know that it will irk you that you wont get paid for the sample pages, but just think of it as a job application
2. the comic will have fanservice. but i dont think that the western/superhero needs boobage and panty shots.
3. the nationality of the characters will not be known or references to it will not be known. you know, like Kalayaan or other Filipino themed superheroes. kinda fubar, but you know, spiderman, goku, and a lot of characters didnt get famous because of their nationality.

Anyway, to those who want to work for this comic, here are some requirements
1. needs to complete at least 24 pages of black and white art around 2 weeks. its for your own sake too. any delay you cause, it will affect the other procedures, delaying the comics and delaying your pay.
2. the art should be clean. for those who want to work on the anime comics, the art style are kinda semi realistic. I think the president wants artstyle that resembles airgear, tenjo tenge.
3. the story will be written by you. i guess except for one. why? you know, because i dont want the story to be credited to the writer. its kinda pisses me off that its usually the writer who becomes famous. Panday, Spiderman, and many others were usually credited to the writers. but who gave life to them, and made them such recognizable icons are the artists that drew them.

Anyway, i asked my friend Laura what she sees, but she says that if i want this to be successful, don't mind me. so right now, we are not talking. i guess that is for the best. I mean, it is more fun believing that this will succeed.
